Manuel did not know that he was taking the first steps of a long journey
in the textile and clothing sector, that would involve future generations of his family.
From a one man operation to an international supplier in the garment trade.

In the following decades, after the 2nd World War,
Manuel’s sons would grow side by side with their father learning the family trade.

The company became famous for the quality of the work
and the passion and determination of the second generation to grow and flourish.

In 1980, Emanuel Prata, the fifth son of Manuel
created his first garment trading company, calling it 'Prata & Borges',
today recognised for the high quality and diversity of its production.

His entire professional life has been dedicated to the company, leaving only when retired.

In 2012, siblings Filipe and Ana Prata, Emanuel's children took the reigns
in directing the company, striving to gain recognition in the international market.
They are committed to building the LaGofra brand, with more and improved services.

IN GARMENT PRODUCTION, WITH A STRONG CULTURE OF CUSTOMER SERVICE.

The production facility allows LaGofra to serve customers from the beginning
part of the process of making clothes to the shipment of the product to be sold in stores.

The dedication and the 'modus operandi' of LaGofra are equal
for both an order for five pieces, and for an order for five thousand.

THE WORKFLOW IS ORGANISED AS FOLLOWS:

ATELIER

Product development, prototypes, samples and small orders (up to 100 units);

SMALL PRODUCTION LINE

Production orders between 100 and 1000 units;

BIG PRODUCTION LINE

Production orders above 1000 units.
In addition, we provide the pattern development service, cutting fabric,finishing and packaging.
Whenever the customer wants, we send orders directly to stores.
